The table below provides a small sample of some specialist resources developed by National Sports Organisations and Regional Sports Trusts to support Coach Development Framework implementation.

Coaching Teenagers and Communication with Teenagers
(NZ Rugby Union)

Two DVD resources that have been developed to support coaches of teenagers.  They are aimed at developing greater awareness of the issues that coaches face when dealing with this group of athletes.  The DVDs are Rugby specific but are easily adaptable to other sports with simple editing (PowerPoint format)

Rugby Smart DVD
(NZ Rugby Union)

This DVD is a key component of the Rugby Smart programme to help ensure health and safety of Rugby players.  The programme is delivered annually and is compulsory for all coaches.

Coaches that attend beginning coach development sessions are given a voucher that allows them to access this on line resource that provides animated coaching sessions, newsletters, videos, etc.  It also linked to Hockey NZ’s database and acts as a data collection tool
