Video: getting selection right

High Performance Sport New Zealand in conjunction with the New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) and Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) hosted Getting Selection Right on February 17, 2016. Here's a video of the whole forum.

Getting Selection Right highlights good practice and potential solutions for the common issues faced when selecting athletes to national teams; including Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championships and other international events.

The forum covers selection policies, the role of selectors, implementing the selection process, and appeals processes and will be led by sports lawyer, Maria Clarke.

Lessons learnt from selection appeals are discussed including the particular case study concerning the appeals against Canoe Racing New Zealand in 2015.
