CHANGES TO THE INCORPORATED SOCIETIES ACT

Sport New Zealand has commissioned some early advice on the likely impact of the proposed changes. Read more here.

GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORK AND REVISED ONLINE ASSESSMENT

We already have organisations committing to alignment with the new framework. First step in the journey is using the new online whole of board assessment to benchmark your current status. Organisations interested in working towards the framework are invited to contact us on governance@sportnz.org.nz.

MORE WOMEN ON SECTOR BOARDS

The 2015 target of 33% representation on sector boards has been exceeded. Read more here.

HEALTH AND SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE

Sector boards are correctly considering their obligations under the new law. We have previously posted information and recommend the Institute of Directors online course.
