Independent Board Member - Volleyball New Zealand Incorporated

Volleyball New Zealand (VNZ) is seeking applications for two Independent Board Member positions. As the national governing body for volleyball in Aotearoa New Zealand, VNZ is committed to growing participation, strengthening community and performance pathways, and delivering long-term sustainability and success for the sport.

We are seeking experienced governors and strategic leaders who can contribute to collective board leadership and bring expertise in areas such as:

Governance and organisational leadership
Finance, audit and risk
Commercial growth and strategic partnerships
Legal and compliance
Digital, technology and innovation
Community or high-performance sport
Māori, Pasifika and diverse community perspectives

VNZ is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and encourages applications from candidates whose experiences and backgrounds will strengthen the capability and diversity of the Board.

Board appointments are for a three-year term, with meetings held primarily online and occasional in-person gatherings. Board member remuneration limits will be considered at the upcoming VNZ AGM 2026.
