History

Blue Waters Community Trust (formally known as Auckland Bowls Trust) was formed in April of 2005.

Objectives

It is the primary aim of the Trust to provide a secure income stream for the development of the sport and in particular clubs and associations affiliated to Auckland Bowls.

Activities funded

Promotions, training and up skilling of green keepers, volunteer administrators, coaches and umpires.

How to apply

The closing date for all grant applications is the 10th of each month so as to be prepared and presented to the Trustees for consideration in that months funding round.

Applying for a grant is easy, but you need to ensure that;
• the application fits within the Authorised Purpose of Blue Waters Community Trust (see below).  
• the ‘Authorised Purpose’ is the definition of what the Trust is licensed to make grants to.
• the applicant is a non-profit body
• the grant is to be applied to specific and future purposes; no retrospective grants can be made
• the application is made on the correct form, and is complete

If your application does not fit within the Authorised Purpose or is incomplete then the Trust will have to return your grant application to you.

We have 11 rounds of grants funding per year
• these commence on the eleventh day of each month.
• applications for November open on the 11th but our grant round will not take place until the 12th of December.
• applications for December and January open on the 11th of each month, our Grant Round for both months will not take place until the 23rd of February.
• completed grant applications must be received by the Blue Waters Community Trust Grants Office on or before the 10th day of the month prior to the Board meeting in which the application is to be considered.
• the Board meets to consider all applications received towards the end of each month (excluding December).
• any application submitted after the closing date will not be considered until the next round of funding is open.
 

Information required with your application

Please make sure you have:
• completed all sections of the application form
• attached at least 2 quotes
• clearly stated the reasons you require the funding and the benefits to your club
• included minutes or resolution to apply for funds
• attached bank deposit slip or include bank account details
• photocopy for your records before sending.

Conditions of acceptance

Blue Waters Community Trust will require that a receipt form is completed and returned once funds have been received. Any surplus funds must be returned as well.
