ANZ is committed to supporting cricket at all levels.

Community sport is an important part of Kiwi life and we know that team sport teaches valuable life lessons. These sports clubs, which are the cornerstone of our communities, are facing huge challenges to get back up and running this season following the effects of COVID-19.
As long-time supporters of Netball New Zealand and New Zealand Cricket, ANZ is giving $1 million of ANZ Good Sports Grants to help support netball and cricket clubs and teams.

$100,000 in grants this summer will be awarded to players, clubs, schools, teams and fans. Bats, balls, net repairs, tickets - whatever you or your team needs, let us know and apply now!

Decision makers

Grants are selected by a panel of judges, who take a number of factors into consideration when selecting winners.

Decision time

Grants are selected by a panel of judges, who take the following into consideration when selecting winners:

Votes: The number of votes received demonstrates the level of community support for an entry. The size of the community supporting your application will be taken into account. For example, a country school is likely to be supported by a much smaller community (and potential voting audience) than a larger urban school.
Information provided: Your application must clearly demonstrate why you are a worthy recipient of a grant. The information provided in each application is considered in conjunction with votes in the judging process. Highlighting exactly why your school, club, team or you personally deserve a grant helps judges assess the merit of your application.
Supporting material: Images and videos may be submitted to support grant entries. Making the effort to supply supporting material demonstrates to judges your enthusiasm for winning a grant.
Location: Winners are selected from throughout New Zealand to ensure ANZ is supporting cricket in the communities the bank services around the country.

How notified

Successful applicants will also be contacted by the Promoter via the contact details provided in the application form. In the event that the Promoter is unable to contact a successful applicant after three attempts, that applicant will forfeit the grant and the judges will select another successful application in their place.
