Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Early Childhood Education (ECE) Grants

History of award

Ngati Whatua Orakei aims to be actively involved in education. Ngati Whatua Orakei Whai Maia Limited is pleased to offer education grants.


Education grants are available to assist students of Ngati Whatua Orakei descent. Grants can now be paid to whanau living overseas.


To be eligible all applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
- One application per applicant per year
- Be a child of a registered Ngati Whatua Orakei hapu member
- Must complete all compulsory sections of this form and sign the Declaration
- Provide any required documentation.

Number of awards

One, more may be offered as determined annually.

Applications for 2020 will open on Tuesday 7th January 2020 and close 30th September 2020. To avoid being disappointed, please make sure to have your application in before the closing date.

All monies will be direct credited. You must attach a bank deposit slip verifying the nominated account number.
