A new fund from Sport NZ designed to support and develop innovative ideas to engage young women to get and stay active - now open for applications..
Innovations for Young Women is a new fund which will support organisations or teams to bring to life their innovative ideas which engage young women aged 12 to 18 to get and stay active in Aotearoa.
Sport NZ is seeking submissions from eligible organisations and teams for the opportunity to develop their best ideas alongside innovation experts during a design challenge weekend.
Developed ideas will be eligible to apply for one-off funding of up to $25,000 per project.

Sport NZ is investing a total of $3 million over three years to support projects designed to get more young women physically active and develop leadership opportunities through play, active recreation and sport.
The new investment delivers to the leadership and participation outcomes of the Women and Girls in Sport and Active Recreation Strategy and is split across two funds, Young Women’s Activation Fund and Innovations for Young Women.
Both funds are now open for application and specifically target initiatives for young women aged 12 to 18.
