Volunteers sought for ICC Cricket World Cup 2015
Organisers of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 are looking for volunteers to join their team.
The ICC Cricket World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events in the world with more than one million people expected to attend matches across the two host countries and more than one billion to watch the global broadcast.
In New Zealand, matches will be played in seven host cities: Auckland, Hamilton, Napier, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin. Locals interested in volunteering for the tournament are invited to apply online now at www.cricketworldcup.com/volunteers
Up to 4,000 volunteers will be required for the tournament across New Zealand and Australia, with 49 matches played over 44 days.
There are a variety of volunteer roles available, each requiring different skills and experience, and those interested should visit www.cricketworldcup.com/volunteers for further information. Volunteers in New Zealand must be 17 years or older. Successful candidates applying for volunteer positions will be interviewed in May 2014.
