Brent and his team provide service delivery, thought leadership and support to partners across a wide range of areas, including business capability and major events. The team also delivers the marketing and communications function for the Sport NZ Group. 

Brent joined Sport NZ in January 2023 and brings with him a broad range of experience from commercial, not for profit and sports sectors. A lengthy career at Lion Breweries saw him hold senior positions in sales, marketing, communications and sponsorship. Brent then spent four years as Chief Executive Officer at Tennis Auckland and was most recently CEO of the Mt Wellington Licensing Trust. 

A member of the Institute of Directors, Brent has spent time on the boards of both Golf New Zealand and more recently Athletics NZ. 

A lifelong sports fan, Brent can regularly be seen running around Cornwall Park and driving all over Auckland supporting the activities of his two daughters.
