Education and training

Learn how you can help keep play, active recreation and sport safe, fair and inclusive for all New Zealanders at every level and across systems.  

We’ve got a suite of e-learning resources to help you understand important areas of Integrity such as child safeguarding, competition manipulation and anti-discrimination in the play, active recreation and sport sector. This learning is free and designed for anyone, at any level, who is involved in play, active recreation and sport, including coaches, administrators, parents, caregivers and whanau of participants. 

Here you'll find the following types of learning:  

  • Bite-sized learning modules that take no more than five minutes to complete and give you a foundation of the topic - available both on the Sport NZ website and Sport Tutor 
  • Webinars and video featuring interviews with Integrity experts. Here you can watch previous webinars and utilise the key takeaways from each.
  • Deep-dive modules with case studies and quizzes to give you a solid understanding of various topics - these are housed on SportTutor to record your learning and allow you to pause and resume modules at your own pace. 
  • Case studies so you can read about integrity in action. From grass roots to elite level sport and active recreation, these are stories of best practise.

SportTutor modules

Here you'll find in-depth learning modules covering a number of topics such as child safeguarding, anti-discrimination and competition manipulation with practical advice and considerations to apply to you, regardless of your involvement in supporting or providing recreation and sport opportunities.  

You can sign up for a free SportTutor account if you don’t already have one. The modules include videos, case studies, and quizzes to help you gain a real understanding of the topics, and allow you to learn at your own pace. You can stop part way through a module and pick up where you left off when you login next time. We're available if you need any assistance so please reach out.
