Play principle 5

Video transcript

[Team Leader - Activation: Ellie Davidson speaking]

Principle number five - the adults role in enabling play.

What does this mean? If parents and adults can reflect upon their own personal childhood, and think about who they were with, where they were, and what they did - this was a really good start to enable children to be playing well. Play for children is intrinsically motivated self-directed and freely chosen. That's really enabling the children to go out and play without the adult intervention alongside them.
