Have your say on a National Physical Activity and Play Plan

28 October 2021

Welcome to the National Physical Activity and Play Plan for Aotearoa survey

Building on the broad sector engagement last year to develop a shared vision for the future of physical activity in New Zealand, government agencies* have identified an initial 13 action areas that they could focus on to start bringing this ‘preferred future’ for physical activity in New Zealand to life.

This is your chance to have your say on the areas that can have the biggest impact on increasing rates of participation in physical activity and play, particularly for those who are currently missing out. We want to hear from a wide range of people so we welcome and value your views, regardless of what role you have in relation to helping people to participate in physical activity and play. We’re particularly interested in hearing from groups or organisations who work with those who are less active and who may be facing barriers to accessing physical activity and play.

The feedback from this survey will then be used to develop a National Physical Activity and Play Plan with specific actions that government agencies will own. The survey is being run independently by Kantar Public (formerly Colmar Brunton) and your survey answers will remain anonymous, unless you explicitly state otherwise. It is open until Tuesday 16 November 2021.
