Learn how to build more inclusive workplaces

The Organisational Inclusion eLearning modules are now available on Sport Tutor. This free, self-paced learning supports more capable, resilient and inclusive workplaces across play, active recreation and sport.

The modules were developed in response to feedback from Sport NZ’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) sector workforce survey, where people asked for practical learning they can use every day. They were also shaped with input from organisations across the sector, so the examples and tools reflect real situations.

This learning is for anyone involved in the sector – paid staff, volunteers, people leaders and governance. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to build on what you already do, you can take what’s relevant and apply it in your role, with your team and in your organisation.

What you’ll gain

Organisational Inclusion is designed to be practical. It will help you and your organisation to:

• build confidence in inclusive ways of working and making decisions
• recognise how bias can show up in everyday choices, and what to do about it
• strengthen belonging, trust and relationships within teams
• use shared language and tools to support consistent inclusion practice across your organisation.

What’s included

There are 6 short modules to complete at your own pace, covering inclusion, belonging, bias and inclusive leadership. Optional facilitator guides are available to support team kōrero and shared reflection. The modules also complement the DEI workshops already delivered and can be revisited anytime or used to help onboard new staff and volunteers.

Small, realistic changes can add up over time. Improving workplace culture, supporting better decisions and creating better experiences for the people your organisation serves.
