Recruiting coaches from overseas

17 May 2017

Each year Immigration New Zealand review their Essential Skills in Demand Lists to facilitate the entry of appropriately skilled people to fill skill shortages.

This helps to reduce costs and time delays for employers seeking skilled employees.

High Performance Sport NZ and Sport NZ are nominating the occupation title ‘Other Sports Coach or Instructor’ to be included on the lists* and we need information from sector organisations to support our submission.

We are surveying the sector about your employees, their job descriptions, visa status, where you advertise jobs, employee retention, salary information, qualifications and experience required, training provided etc.  Please click here to complete the survey, the survey will close Thursday 20 July 2017.

We will keep any information you provide confidential. Please contact anna.sage@sportnz.org.nz if you have any questions.

*This occupation title doesn’t include Open Water Diving, Gymnastics, Horse Riding, Snowsports or Swimming coaches/instructors, as they have their own occupation titles.

If you require an accessible version of any content on the site please contact us and we will be happy to assist.
