Rowena Davenport

Rowena is Deputy Chair of Sport NZ. She is an experienced independent director with a strong background in governance and executive leadership across financial services, legal, government, education and national sporting organisations. She is currently Deputy Chair of the Otago Polytechnic Council and a Founding Director of the Matatū Advisory Board. Rowena also serves on a range of private and not‑for‑profit boards, including Finance Now, AWS Legal, the Highlanders and the Halberg Foundation. Rowena brings a well‑rounded governance perspective, with experience spanning both commercial and community‑focused organisations, and a strong connection to sport in Aotearoa.
