Data from our Active NZ surveys, together with other commissioned and collected research, has allowed us to put together stats and understanding into what affects and impacts activity levels for specific population groups.

In addition, we've split our data into different settings, scenarios and groups to give you further understanding of the complexities involved in trying to help people to take part.

Every month we survey a sample of New Zealanders registered on the electoral roll through our research partner, Kantar Public. We have been doing this since 2013 to tell us about the physical activities you do and what you think about being physically active.

The Voice of Rangatahi survey, delivered in collaboration with Regional Sports Trusts and the Regional Sports Director network, focuses on understanding how rangatahi experience physical activity specifically within a secondary school or kura setting.
