Build your knowledge of play and tākaro Māori

Active Play Ngā Mahi Tākaro (PAAH 512) is the first formally recognised university paper focused on play in Aotearoa. Delivered by Sport NZ, Te Hau Kori and Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington, it brings together people working in play, education, physical activity and community wellbeing.

Students explore play theory and practice alongside mātauranga Māori and tākaro Māori.

Hear from graduates, course facilitators and founders about what makes this paper special, what they have used in their work and what it could offer you.

Thank you to Nikki Penetito-Hemara and Kori Collaborative for providing the tākaro Māori footage.
