Coastlands Aquatic Centre
Coastlands Aquatic Centre
Coastlands Aquatic Centre in Paraparaumu is a district-level facility owned and operated by Kāpiti Coast District Council. Opened in 2013, it provides a wide range of aquatic services for the local community, including learn to swim, fitness swimming, leisure and play, hydrotherapy and club sport.
The centre includes multiple pools, a movable floor, accessible features and spaces for community use. Most visits come from the general public, with strong use by clubs, targeted programmes and disability groups. While the facility is well used, peak‑time demand creates pressure on lane space and programming, highlighting the importance of managing capacity within the local pool network.
