Connecting ākonga to marae through physical activity

In South Auckland, Healthy Active Learning supported schools to strengthen their connection with Papakura Marae through tākaro Māori and shared kai. Through this partnership, ākonga and kaiako have gained greater awareness of the marae and the many services it provides to whānau, while developing a stronger sense of belonging.
