Event Accessibility check list

☐Promotional materials

I've ensured event website and supporting materials are accessible. Printed material is available in alternate formats.

There is a plan for:

  • Service Animals
  • Entry and exits (including emergency planning)
  • Accessible bathrooms

We have asked attendees about their accessibility requirements when registering and have confirmed in writing.

We have booked interpreters for the event.

Seating and Accommodations

Specific seating or other accommodations have been confirmed and planned for.

Near to public transport

Attendees can find and reach the venue by public transport.

There is support for the attendee to get food and drinks, find the bathroom or orienting them to the venue.

Presenters understand the need to pause and speak clearly so that all attendees and interpreters can follow along.

Alternative formats

Content will be available in a variety of formats – not just printed.
