Meet the tamariki, rangatahi and whānau behind the GI Eagles Basketball League in Glen Innes, Auckland.

What began with a handful of young people turning up to shoot hoops has grown into a thriving, community‑led club where tamariki and rangatahi can show up as they are, build confidence and feel they belong. Supported by Sport Auckland and Sport NZ’s Tū Manawa fund, the GI Eagles are creating positive pathways for young people and strengthening connection across their community.
