Gordon Spratt Reserve

Increasing capacity by improving existing field platforms and upgrading irrigation.

Faced with growing demand and water constraints, Tauranga City Council increased capacity at Gordon Spratt Reserve by improving what was already there. The project combined field reshaping, irrigation upgrades, a new bore water supply and warm-season grass conversion to create a more resilient and flexible sports field precinct. The result was an additional full-sized field, improved year-round performance and greater capacity without developing new sports fields.
