Moana Pool in Dunedin is a national‑level aquatic facility owned and operated by Dunedin City Council. Moana Pool is the main venue for competitive swimming and aquatic sport in Dunedin and the wider South Island. With high annual visitation from both pool and gym users, the facility plays a critical role in the local and national pool network, while requiring ongoing operational subsidy to remain accessible for the community.
