Partnerships enabled a rapid response to Cyclone Gabrielle

For the Healthy Active Learning team in Hawke’s Bay, existing relationships with schools and their communities meant they were able to respond quickly to provide physical activity opportunities to support the wellbeing of those affected.

Fundamental to this coordinated response was the previously established Health and Wellbeing Partnership Group. The steering group, which includes representatives from Healthy Active Learning, provides leadership and guidance for health and wellbeing initiatives within early learning services, schools and kura in the region.
