Comms will send you the copy in a word document. Paste the copy in here and then format the headings using the Formats dropdown from the rich text editor.

Note: If you are getting weird formatting issues it will be because formatting of the word doc has also been pasted in and you will need to use a website like HTML stripper to remove the hidden code before pasting in here.

Formatting headings: Heading 2 example

Generally start with Heading 2 for the main headings, and subheadings under each heading 2 can be formatted with Heading 3 or Heading 4 depending on what looks best.

Adding Links: Heading 3 example

To link to another page select the text you want to link from and then click on the link chain icon above.

This opens up a select link tab, where you will need to search for the page on the website you want to link to, or if it's an external website/external link, paste that link in at the top of the tab where it says Link, and add a Link title below that.

Once you've added the link you can put it inside a button if Comms requests this. To do this first you create the link and then select this text and go to Formats and select either Button - red background or Button - bordered.

Adding images to the page: Heading 2 example

To add an image to the page click on the picture Icon and find the media folder you have updated the image into. If you haven't yet uploaded the image then find a relevant Image folder from the list of media folders and upload the image into it. Add an alt description which is used to describe what's in the image for someone who might be visually impaired. Select the image you've uploaded and it should pull through onto the page. You can drag the corners to resize the image if needed.

Note about image: Resize images and save them for web so they are under 1MB, but as small a file size as possible before uploading them to the site.

Embedding video: Heading 2 example

In youtube or vimeo get the embed code and then look for the <> above. This is code view. Click on <> and paste the embed code in to the bottom of the code. Then click Submit and close to return to this view of the page. The video will embed as it has below:
