Aquatic Facility Energy Efficiency Toolbox
The Aquatic Facility Energy Efficiency Toolbox supports facility owners and operators to better understand energy use, costs and carbon emissions. It provides clear guidance, along with a practical calculator and supporting manual, to help build a picture of how energy is used within facilities.
The toolbox has been developed in partnership between Sport NZ and Beca (engineering consultancy), drawing on industry expertise to support informed conversations about efficiency improvements and decarbonisation.
It includes practical resources, such as an Excel-based energy and emissions calculator and a step-by-step user guide to help measure, interpret and improve energy performance, including planning for changes such as electrification.
