Impacts of the Disability Inclusion Fund

Every Body Active
Sport NZ’s Disability Inclusion Fund invested $3.6 million into projects aimed at getting more disabled tamariki and rangatahi active.

Over 3 years, 16 funded organisations created new roles, built partnerships with schools and clubs, delivered inclusive programmes, and developed training and resources to build sector capability. Thousands of disabled young people participated in physical activity – often for the first time – in environments where they felt supported and included.

The Disability Inclusion Fund has laid the foundation for long-term change. Most projects are continuing beyond the fund, and organisations are embedding inclusion into everyday practice.

Read the impact report and stories to learn about the positive changes brought about by this funding and the valuable lessons learned along the way.
